When to Go to Emergency vs Clinic
Not every symptom needs an ER visit. Learn which situations warrant emergency care and which can wait for a clinic appointment.
Making the Right Decision
In Pakistan, emergency departments are often overcrowded with non-emergency cases. Knowing when to go to ER vs when to visit a clinic helps everyone get better care.
Go to Emergency If:
- Chest pain, difficulty breathing, or loss of consciousness
- Severe bleeding that won't stop
- High fever with seizures in children
- Suspected stroke (face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty)
- Severe allergic reaction
Visit Clinic For:
- Mild fever, cough, cold lasting less than 3 days
- Minor injuries without deformity
- Chronic condition follow-ups
- Routine blood tests and checkups
